Reunion Time!

We just got back from the annual Jacobs Family Reunion up in Island Park with all of my brothers and sisters and their families. The theme was "No Empty Saddles", but even with some of the saddles empty, there were still over 80 of us and we had a great time! We spent most of Saturday playing in the water while the older kids water skiied and rode water toys. Later, the kids all decorated their own stick horses then entertained us with a rodeo in the arena (tennis court)! The boys "rode" real live buckin' stick horses and you couldn't believe how some of those horses bucked! The girls ran the barrels. (Click on Zac and Lori's link on this page to see some videos of the kids in action!) Cousin Jed was the announcer. It was probably the best rodeo I've ever been to! (Which wouldn't take much!) Even the old cowboys got into the roping! We ended the evening with a special tribute to mom. It was a great three days! Thanks to Mitch and Valynn's family for a great job of organizing it...next year I'm in charge! YIKES! Playing at the beach.
